The Sri Chinmoy Centre in Johannesburg offers free meditation courses throughout the year. We also offer courses in Cape Town a few times a year.
Introductory meditation course options feature 2 to 4 sessions and cover a structured and progressive series of guided meditation exercises.
The aim of the meditation courses is teaching the essential steps to establishing a successful home practise of meditation. Topics include:
- learning to focus on the breath,
- concentration, mantras
- correct posture
- meditation in the spiritual heart
- establishing a personal practice of meditation at home
- music and meditation
- the spiritual journey
The meditation courses are presented by student's of Sri Chinmoy who have practiced of meditation under his guidance for many years.a beginners guide to learning to meditate. This is a good warm up to the main classes and will give you a chance to get started right away!
